Did you know that headgear has a long and exciting history? We wear it for a variety of reasons - for protection, as jewellery and sometimes as a symbol of power. And have you ever wondered where the bobble on the bobble hat comes from?

We invite you to a workshop where we will go on a journey around the world to discover the secrets of hats, crowns, caps and other unusual headgear. We will find out who wore them and why they were or are so important. You'll also get the chance to create your own unique hat!

We'll also tell you the extraordinary story of the Mountain of Dread, which will convince you that it's always worth looking at the world with optimism - whether you're wearing a hat, crown or bobble hat.
