Birgit Schössow came originally from Hamburg but lives today on the Baltic coast. She makes things, does illustrations and creates animated films, including the accompanying music, for both adults and children. In addition she has produced picture books. She creates animated films for the German Consulate in New York and cover pictures for the New Yorker.
