Event for schoolchildren with Henning Wagenbreth
Time travel is pure fantasy – or perhaps it isn’t? In his most recent book Rückwärtsland (‘Backwards-Land’), the Berlin cartoonist, graphic artist, book designer and writer Henning Wagenbreth reverses time without the least difficulty. His stories start at the end and finish at the beginning. They unfold like a film run backwards. They provide an opportunity for having a second go, for doing things all over again - but better. Henning Wagenbreth will present a number of stories from the book to the assembled student audience (singing and playing a concertina along the way), and then get the children themselves to run an event in their own everyday life backwards in their mind – an event that they wished had taken a different course.

With financial support from litrix.de Rückwärtsland was published in Italian in 2023 under the title Indietro tutta! by Orecchio Acerbo, in a translation by Lia Bruno.
